When soul music bursts forth from the depths of the soul like molten lava from a volcano, that’s when we’re talking about The Volcanoes. With their explosive motto ‘Hot and dirty’, this band of top musicians from Hamburg sets off a musical fireworks display of passionate soul, Motown and funk, bringing great legends such as Stevie Wonder, Otis Redding, Marvin Gaye, James Brown and Sam Cooke back to life. Volkan Baydar, a chart-topping star of the analogue era and the distinctive voice of the Hamburg cult duo Orange Blue, has fulfilled a long-cherished dream by founding “The Volcanoes”. The Kultur Palast Foundation has been the organisation responsible for the Harburg Community Centre since 2022
The Kultur Palast Harburg is the community centre for the Harburg district. Situated right in the heart of Harburg, we are a welcoming venue for everyone from the district and the surrounding area. The centre is run by the Kultur Palast Foundation and, through its groups, courses and events, contributes to a varied cultural programme in the district.
