Kultur Palast Billstedt
The Kultur Palast Billstedt brings together people from different cultures in the Billstedt area.

The aim is to foster and strengthen mutual cultural understanding and respect. 63.7 per cent of Billstedt’s 72,623 residents are people with a migrant background (Statistikamt Nord, reporting year 2023). Billstedt is regarded as a young, socially vulnerable neighbourhood with a limited cultural infrastructure – and that is precisely why we are here!
Our social mission is to create and promote a shared cultural identity. We want to encourage people to take part in our projects and make use of what we offer. Our experience has taught us that we need to take our initiatives to where we can reach people – right here in the community!
Kultur Palast Harburg
Since 2022, the Stiftung Kultur Palast has been the organising body for the Harburg Community Centre, which is known as the Kultur Palast Harburg.

The centre is currently closed. On behalf of the Harburg District Office, the concert hall and event spaces are being modernised and redesigned to be more multifunctional. Many activities are currently being held at alternative venues.
You can look forward to the fully refurbished building.
Our objectives are
- To facilitate exchange, reach out to target groups and strengthen our identity
- To promote young talent, emerging artists and cultural diversity
- To involve Harburg and its institutions in a participatory and cooperative manner
- To offer a diverse, cross-genre programme
- Developing new event formats
- Low-threshold activities for diverse target groups
